Make Heartland AEA Your Summer Professional Development Destination
Professional development is one of the most essential services Heartland AEA provides to area educators. Check out our Professional Development Catalog to find the courses being offered this summer. You can search by category, keyword, alphabetical order, chronological order and location. You can also find the list of classes with their activity numbers in our May 2012 Educator Connection. Copy/paste the activity number of your desired class in the field by the "Go!" button.

Online Learning is Changing Education
Last spring, Iowa’s nine AEAs collectively launched AEA PD Online, a one-stop shop for Iowa educators’ online professional development needs. Online courses fit better in busy schedules as you can choose when during the day it works to log in. Want to become an AEA PD Online Instructor? AEA PD Online offers Online Learning for Iowa Educators (OLLIE) training which includes foundational courses in online pedagogy designed around the Iowa Teaching Standards. Find OLLIE courses and many more on the AEA PD Online Catalog.
