Heartland Area Education Agency is dedicated to developing cultural competence in all staff.  Cultural competence enables us to develop and maintain relationships with students, teachers, administrators, and community members and to be sensitive and appreciative of the richness diversity brings to our lives.  We know that there is a positive relationship between cultural competence and student achievement.
