Application Process Overview

Applications are accepted through our online application system. Applications must be filled out in its entirety and include all necessary documents in order to be considered.  The only documents accepted via mail or e-mail, after completion of the online application, are letters of recommendation and official transcripts because they are often provided by a 3rd party.

Open positions are updated on Wednesday and Friday of each week. Primary hiring season is late winter or early spring.

Our application system only accepts attachments in the following formats: doc, docx, txt, rtf, jpg, png, tif, bmp, pdf.   The combined total of all attachments cannot exceed 4 MB.  Note: Position-specific information is found under each position description once you begin the job search and application process.

Internet Access Required:

If you do not have access to a home computer, most public libraries and Iowa Workforce Development Centers have computers available for use by the general public.  There are also two computers at Heartland's Administration Center in Johnston reserved for job applicants.
