Iowa Gifted and Talented Endorsement
Four institutions of higher education in Iowa offer coursework toward the 12 credit State of Iowa Gifted and Talented Endorsement. The endorsement requires coursework in four strand areas: psychology of the gifted, administration and supervision of gifted programs, programming for the gifted, and practicum. In 2008, the State Board of Education revised the State of Iowa Gifted and Talented Endorsement to eliminate the "grandfather" clause. Click here to download the revised document.
