DIVERSE LEARNER’S
RESOURCE FAIR FEB. 21 AT BOTANICAL CENTER
JOHNSTON, Iowa — Information on support services and educational programs for students with special needs will be available at the Diverse Learner’s Resource Fair, Saturday, Feb. 21, 1-4 p.m. at the Des Moines Botanical Center.
The free event includes a 1:30 p.m. session on wills, trusts and estate planning for youth with special needs, and a 2:30 p.m. session on transition planning for adulthood living and employment. Representatives from organizations and companies will be available to discuss health care, job training, recreation needs and other topics.
The resource fair is sponsored by the Parent-Educator Connection at Heartland Area Education Agency and the Des Moines Public Schools. For information, contact Mary Watkins or Kari Paulsen at Heartland AEA, 515-270-9030.
