Heartland
AEA recognizes the need for continual development
of professional skills. Staff is expected to plan
their professional growth in alignment with
Heartland's' mission and goals, discipline goals
and objectives, and meet the needs of the
individual therapist. Annual performance objectives
are the foundation of an individual's professional
development.
Heartland provides a variety of opportunities
such as, attending in-service training, state and
national conferences, and staff development
classes, to enable individuals to achieve their
objectives. The occupational therapy and physical
therapy service department has implemented a
mentoring system, and recognizes other unique
methods to meet the educational and training needs
of therapists.
