Ning makes it easy to share photos, be they .jpg, .png, or .gif. To add a photo, you can click on the "Add photo" link from the Main Page's photo pane or by clicking on the photo tab, and then on the "Add photo link". Once you do, you will see a screen that looks like this.
The left side allows you to search your computer for pictures by clicking on the "browse" buttons. After finding them, click on the "Add Photos" button at the bottom. After the pictures are uploaded, Ning will ask you to edit the photo details. That includes
• the name of the photo
• a description
• any tags you would like to use (tags are keywords that can be searched for later)
• album information (an album can be used to group photos together)
Click save when you are finished.
Like photos, you can add videos from either the main page (if the videos pane is there) or from the video tab. Click on the "Add Videos" link. You will get the following window.
Just like photos, you can click on the browse button to upload them from your computer. After you do, it will ask you to edit the video details.
Note on the right, you can upload youtube, hulu, or vimeo videos. If you click on one of those, it will ask you to paste the link or embedding code. On youtube, for example you can find that code here:
