Navigating a Ning

After you have joined a Ning, there will be several things you can do, depending on which features have been set up by the Ning administrator.

 

Regardless of the setup of the Ning, there will be 3 areas that you will be able to access:

1) Main Page

This is the home page for the Ning, and usually serves as the main place for communication and updates. At a glance, you will be able to see what is available and what new things have been updated. The main page is the page you will first be at when you go into the Ning. To navigate back, click on "Main" in the navigation bar.

 

2) Your Personal Page

While the main page is a common meeting space for all members, you have a personal page as well. There, you can personalize your own page, adding your own files, photos, blog posts, and even applications. Click on "My Page" to go to your own page. Or click on "Members" to see the personal pages of other members in the Ning.

 

3) Your personal settings.

By clicking on "settings", you can change your own personal settings, which we'll look at next.
