Medianet The
Medianet web catalog is a new keyword searchable online catalog that contains
media items available for loan from Heartland. Items that may be scheduled
using Media Reservations on the Web include Professional Library inservice
materials, video lending items, boxed books, and films. Searches can be limited
by grade level, media format or year. Items can be checked for availability and
reserved online. Teachers should use the ComCat online catalog for a broader
search, including print materials or the collections held by other
libraries.
Com Cat
Com Cat is a keyword searchable catalog that includes all materials available
from Heartland Media Services. Teachers and students can search for materials
by author, title, subject, media type or keyword. Com Cat also includes the
collections of 120+ school media centers. Teachers and students can request
materials from other schools through interlibrary loan and have materials
delivered to their school by the Heartland van at no cost. Over 1,000,000
titles are listed on Com Cat.

- WWW Version The World of Media monthly print
newsletter is also available on the Internet. World of Media can be browsed
article by article or searched by keywords. Hyperlinks to web sites and e-mail
addresses are convenient additions to the WWW version of World of Media.
Heartland
Listservs Now you can subscribe or unsubscribe to
any of the listservs hosted by Heartland. NOTE: These are listservs designed
specifically for the educators in area 11.
