Why is there such a push to examine the impact of accommodations and to use data to justify accommodations? This article provides one answer to that question. The number of students entering college with learning disabilities and ADHD has increased substantially. At the same time, there has been an increase in court activity challenging eligibility and accommodation issues. Court litigation's are pushing professionals to examine practices related to determining who needs accommodations and what accommodations they need.
