6 Traits of Writing:
The 6 Traits listserv is intended to be a tool for communication between all AEA 11 educators using 6 Traits of Writing. It provides a forum where educators can exchange questions concerns, comments, and new ideas.

6 Traits of Writing for High School:
The 6 Traits listserv is intended to be a tool for communication between all AEA 11 HIGH SCHOOL educators using 6 Traits of Writing. It provides a forum where HIGH SCHOOL educators can exchange questions concerns, comments, and new ideas.

At Risk:
The at-risk mailing list is meant to be a communications vehicle where teachers and administrators of alternative schools, Shelter Care Facilities, and other schools focusing on at risk student needs can seek help and share solutions with other like educators.

Block Scheduling:
Educational Services has created a listserv for schools that have implemented block schedules or are considering block scheduling. The purpose of this listserv is to provide a means of communication for block scheduling questions and issues.

Counselor:
The School Counselor listserv is designed to provide an online networking opportunity for sharing curriculum ideas, learning about important web sites, staying updated with current school counselor issues, posting questions to other counselors and an opportunity to learn about workshop and professional development opportunities at Heartland.

Early ACCESS:
Early ACCESS is Iowa's Part C System of early intervention for children birth to age three. The Early ACCESS listserv will inform subscribers of various initiatives occurring in Iowa's Early ACCESS system as well as within Heartland AEA 11's Early ACCESS program. Current information on administrative rules, policies, procedures and guidance will be shared along with professional development opportunities, research, and resources.

Early Childhood Update:
You will receive emails from Heartland staff regarding early childhood initiatives for children, ages three to five, professional development activities, and Early Childhood Principals Network. This listserv will assist you in obtaining current information about Statewide Voluntary Four Year Old Preschool and Quality Preschool Program Standards. Administrators, consultants, and teachers will find this listserv useful.

English Language Learner - Diversity:
The English Language Learner - Diversity mailing list will be a communication vehicle for AEA 11 educators working with English language learners and diversity issues. The purpose of the mailing list is the exchange of information about teaching strategies, curriculum and assessment, resource materials, problem-solving, culture and support information.

Hypermedia:
The hypermedia listserv is meant to be a communications vehicle where teachers involved in utilizing hypermedia in their classrooms can exchange ideas with others.

ICN - Distance Learning Listserv:
This list will serve is an informational communique for ICN room site contacts, AEA 11 administrators/counselors who may seek assistance in planning ICN instruction, deploying on-line or ICN delivered staff development information, and immediate communications on ICN related issues.

Middle School Principals Network:
The Middle School Principals Network provides a communication list for all area 11 middle school principals. The purpose of the list is to provide a collaboration platform for principals of grades 6-9.

Parent Educator Connection (PEC):
Automatically receive notification of Short & to the Point newsletter as it is released. This newsletter contains articles for parents, teachers, and providers of children with special needs. Additionally, you will receive notifications of Parent-Educator Connection workshops and events. There is no charge for this service and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Project CRISS District Trainers:
The Project CRISS Trainers Listserv is designed to provide a collaborative opportunity for current Project CRISS District Trainers. The focus of the listserv is to be able to communicate questions and concerns and to bounce ideas off of other District Trainers to learn what is working in the implementation of Project CRISS. A secondary purpose is to develop a "Think-Tank" for getting the support you need to implement Project CRISS with integrity to best serve your students.

Teacher-Librarian:
This is a moderated listserv for library/media specialists in the Heartland service area. Information relevant to the roles and responsibilities of the school library/media specialist will be posted.

Mac Manager:
This list is devoted to the discussion of questions, ideas and problems related to the configuration and use of Apple's Macintosh Manager software. Please share your questions, problems, workarounds and other experiences here.

New Teachers:
This listserv will put you in contact with other new teachers and with master teachers and consultants for the purpose of exchanging information, teaching strategies, curriculum adaptations, resource materials and ideas.

Project SEMI:
This listserv is for teachers who will be using Project SEMI (Science Education Mobile Instruction)--a world-class life sciences and biotechnology lab on wheels. Students will explore real-world life science concepts.

School To Work:
The School-to-Work listserv is provided by Heartland AEA 11 and the Central Iowa Regional Planning Board. It is intended to be a tool for educators and community partners to share ideas and resources, discuss challenges, and celebrate successes as they continually improve their knowledge and skills of connecting classroom learning to employability skills.

K-5 Science:
You will receive science oriented emails from the Heartland Science Consultants and teachers of science targeted for grades K-5. Periodically you will receive information on NCLB, grants, courses, workshops, special deals for science teachers, and other science information from the consultants and ideas, questions and concerns from those of you who teach science in AEA 11.

6-8 Science:
You will receive science oriented emails from the Heartland Science Consultants and teachers of science targeted for grades 6-8. Periodically you will receive information on NCLB, grants, courses, workshops, special deals for science teachers, and other science information from the consultants and ideas, questions and concerns from those of you who teach science in AEA 11.

9-12 Science:
You will receive science oriented emails from the Heartland Science Consultants and teachers of science targeted for grades 9-12. Periodically you will receive information on NCLB, grants, courses, workshops, special deals for science teachers, and other science information from the consultants and ideas, questions and concerns from those of you who teach science in AEA 11.

Tech Coordinators:
This list is designed to allow the exchange of ideas and information between district and AEA technology staff throughout area 11. No vendors allowed.

Technology Infusion Collaborative [TIC]:
The TIC list is an on-going forum consisting of district/building technology leaders addressing the infusion of technology in our schools. It will include discussions about district sharing, teacher modeling, software resources, and special topics.
